Majid Khan is a former Pakistani cricketer who was born on September 28, 1946, in Ludhiana, India. He played as a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He is generally considered one of the best Pakistani cricketers of all time and one of the greatest all-rounders in cricket history.
In his international career, Majid Khan played 63 Test matches for Pakistan, scoring 3,931 runs at an average of 38.92 with seven centuries and 19 half-centuries. He also took 24 wickets with his medium-pace bowling. He made his Test debut against New Zealand in 1964 and went on to play for Pakistan until 1983.
Majid Khan was known for his stylish and elegant batting, with a particular talent for hitting the ball through the covers. He was also a brilliant fielder and a useful bowler. He played for Pakistan in three World Cups (1975, 1979, and 1983) and was part of the team that reached the final in 1979.
After retiring from cricket, Majid Khan worked as a commentator and cricket administrator. He was also a member of the Pakistan Cricket Board and served as the chairman of the International Cricket Council's Cricket Committee.
